K Transport has developed a new driver safety aid for loading and unloading Slidaflex body trailers. The new system safely secures the driver to the Slidaflex canopy frame through a harness and interia reel connection.
This allows the driver to move easily around the trailer. It has extendable reach for the driver, but should the driver trip on the trailer the inertia reel will arrest the fall in the same way as a car seat belt works. The maximum extension of the intertia reel also prevents the driver from falling from the trailer.
This is one of several innovative methods K Transport has designed and implemented to ensure the safety of its haulage fleet drivers. K Transport provides haulage services throughout the U.K. and provides car and light vehicle MOT testing at its Coven, Wolverhampton depot.
